The personal pan pizza is delicious. The ingredients as fresh as they are numerous and varied. And the red velvet cupcake is to die for.

We love Star pizza! Sorry no photos. This is a hipster pizza place with nostalgia on the walls. Our server was pleasant but didn't refill our drinks. It wasn't crazy busy but the food was on point. Garlic bread with cheese and I had a veggie pizza slice and my son had ... I can't recall only That it was amazing. We have tried two different locations. The first time was had the Chicago deep dish; SO good!? Is it worthy of Chi town? Close... the closest we've had in our area. Some Will def be back to get more deep dish... and that amazing garlic cheese bread!!!

Gavin was our waiter. He's waited on us before. Gave us great service. We sat outside on the deck in front of the TV watching UH/Gonzaga. Weather was great. Our pizzas were consistent as usual, great quality.

Delicious pizza, wonderful staff very sweet and friendly. Not a long wait, got to watch the Texan game upstairs. A lot of nice things to look at inside, was seated upstairs and enjoyed the atmosphere. There's outdoor seating to enjoy on a nice day. I would recommend and a family friendly place kids would enjoy. There are kids menus and you can order pizza by the slice. Loved the many options on the different pizza styles and crusts to choose from.

Awesome and tasty pizza. There is no need to ask for extra Cheese because there is plenty on every pie.

The family wanted pizza and of course this is the place to go e delicious pizza. We also had the chicken Alfredo which is great! I don't even like Alfredo normally. I especially enjoyed the cheese pizza. The crust is so good. Decent pizza worth the price. Highly recommend.

As one of the city's most well known pizzerias, it's not hard to see the appeal of Star Pizza since they seemingly have it all: excellent service, a myriad of pizza styles and toppings, a charming venue, and the support of the local Upper Kirby community and beyond. This location has some of the worst traffic in the area, which can be standstill traffic during daytime hours. Somehow Star has still managed to fill their lots with cars galore every night, while many adjacent lots sit empty. I tend to go for the street parking, while simultaneously fending off the other cars double parking for takeout. While the "New York" pie doesn't remind me of anything legit in NYC, I still give them an A for effort. The sauce-cheese ratio is not the same and the crust doesn't have the same kind of bend that I'd find back home. The Chicago style is a slight notch above but isn't the same animal as something I'd find in the Windy City. However I still enjoy the pizza for it's heartiness, numerous toppings, and love the variety. They are consistent for the most part despite the occasional salt bomb. The pastas aren't going to outshine the pizza and are generally not as exciting. They're on the simpler side with items like butter and oil pasta, pesto, alfredo, and marinara and meatball. They tout the homemade lasagna as a must eat item but the salt bomb also applies here as well. I have to give it up to the staff. They're busy whenever I interact with them, but somehow the food is always out on time and they manage to keep the people fed while doing it with a smile. This, along with their friendly pricing, goes a long way in making the experience an ideal one.

Bad pic but they DO have outdoor seating in the front. Pizza took a little longer, I think primarily due to the deep dish pizza we got. (30 min) Here's what we got/ 8 inch NY style with pepperoni- I liked that it was the old world style which are smaller. 6 inch personal pan- Chicago style deep dish with wheat crust. One with Canadian bacon, green peppers and red onions (the veggies needed to be pre-cooked a little as they made the crust a little wet) the sauce was yummy- the crust was tasty but a little doughy. The other one was the cowbell- we didn't get a brisket flavor but it read more like a pot roast. All in all, pretty good

Whenever I think of deep dish pizza, I think of this place. Although sometimes it takes forever for the pizza to be ready, most of the time they are good about it. Especially if you order it online or via phone. I usually opt in to the whole grain crust and it tastes way better in my opinion.
